Children’s Residential Deputy Manager

We are excited to hear from you for the Children’s Residential Deputy Manager for a home in Nottingham!

This well established client is looking for a Deputy Manager to help lead the team in the home which is currently supporting one complex young person.

The Role:

  • You will become part of a small, caring team supporting young people
  • Your role will be diverse and shift based and will include overnight sleep-ins
  • Your day may include taking the young people to school, appointments and activities
  • To deliver highly motivated leadership and development to the team
  • Ensure that training is relevant, robust and effective and that the training program is dynamic and adaptive to the needs of current residents
  • To ensure all safeguarding risks are acted upon immediately and the relevant action taken to mitigate the risk
  • Oversee the home and act as the Manager, when the Registered Manager is absent or on leave. This will mean covering all elements of managing the home in line with regulations

 

The Candidate:

  • Be 22 years old and over
  • Have a passion for, and experience of, working with children in a residential setting
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have a full UK manual driving licence
  • Be willing to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure
  • Be eligible to work in the UK

Info:

Your annual salary will be made of a base rate, dependent on qualifications and experience, plus payment for sleep-ins. The base rate salary scale is £27,500 p.a plus £62.64 per sleep-in and up to £1500 a year in bonus (up to £4,500 extra per year).
